1. Who We Are
StreetBeacon (streetbeacon.food) is a mobile application that connects street food vendors with nearby customers across Southeast Asia. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean StreetBeacon.

2. Information We Collect
Vendors:
- Phone number (for account creation and login)
- GPS location (only while you are live — opt-in)
- Cart name, food type, district, photos you upload
- Time and frequency of going live
Customers:
- GPS location (only to show nearby vendors — not stored as a persistent profile location)
- Search queries within the app (not linked to identity)
All users:
- Device type and OS version (for crash reporting only)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To show your cart location to nearby customers (vendors)
- To display a map of nearby vendors (customers)
- To authenticate your account securely
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- We never use your data for advertising profiling
- We never sell your data to third parties
4. Location Data
Vendor location is:
- Collected only when you explicitly tap "I'M HERE"
- Visible to all app users while you are live
- Removed from our live database when you tap "CLOSED"
- Your last active location and timestamp may remain on your profile
Customer location is:
- Used only to center your map view and show nearby vendors and distances
- Not stored on our servers as a lasting record tied to you
- Not shared with vendors or other users as personal identity information
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers (Google Cloud, Singapore region). We use:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfer
- Firebase Authentication for secure login
- Security rules that ensure vendors can only edit their own data
- No vendor can access another vendor's account
6. Data Retention
- Live location: deleted immediately when you go offline
- Account data: kept until you delete your account
- Photos: kept until you delete them or your account
- To delete your account: contact privacy@streetbeacon.food — we will delete all your data within 30 days
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP, Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), the EU/UK GDPR, and other applicable local laws.
Regardless of your location, we honor the following rights for all users:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (right to erasure)
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

8. Children
StreetBeacon is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us immediately.
9. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage
- Google Maps — map display and location services

These services have their own privacy policies. We do not control how Google uses data collected through their services.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app grows. We will notify you within the app before any material changes take effect and ask for your consent where required.
